Why no tape on Silva's gloves?

I didn't see any during the fight. I thought they had to be taped and inspected.

The UAE has no commission.
They don't have to do anything.

Part of what would make me uncomfortable about fighting over seas.

I understand there is no commission but I thought Ratner was running things from a commission perspective.

Its just starting to seem like fishy things happen when they go over seas.

I mean, Hammill / Bisbing, anybody giving it 50 - 45 to Frankie or Anderson.

It's always been that way.

Roy Jones got robbed of the Gold at the 1988 Olympics in South Korea and an investigation found that the judges had been paid off. It led to a new scoring system in Olympic Boxing, but they never overturned the decision and gave Roy his Gold Medal.

On the other hand, it happens here in America too. In the 96 Olympics in Atlanta, Floyd Mayweather was robbed in the semi-final match when EVERYBODY thought he won. Even the Ref raised Floyd's hand by mistake, and the fighter who won was surprised.

As long as there is no universal governing body, these kind of controversies will always happen.

I remember watching that fight with my Dad and being so outraged by it. To be honest to this day we haven't watched another Olympic Boxing match because if it. My Dad also told me about how Jones got screwed as well but to be honest I cant remember if I was with him or not. He didnt remember either. hahaha.

Yeah.
Its crazy, somebody needs to be in charge, and somebody needs to be held accountable.
At the end of the day your decisions could effect a career, and entire lifetime of work.
