Not really sure about the rating. I guess because there is a lot of talk about killing the dragons. There is just as much about not killing them. There are a few very brief scenes that are spooky one even made me jump.

I am very cautious about what my kids watch and this movie was good for the whole family. A kid would have to be very sensitive to be bothered or scared in this movie.

I would say any age would enjoy it. A few kids may get a little spooked but those cases are so brief I believe the story will get them over it very fast.

They stopped showing that movie in my area something about the studio or something having issues?

I took my 2 kids to see it yesterday. The oldest is 13 and youngest is 11 and we all enjoyed it. Great movie. I might have to buy it on DVD when it comes out so I can watch it again a few more times.
