Prayer Request

My sister asked if I would request prayer for a friend who is battling cancer. She knows how y'all prayed for me this past year with my own scare with cancer and what good people are here on Matt's forum.

Joni has been battling for a good year now and today she got some not so good news that it's now in the bone of her vertebrae. They are going to do radiation for this in the next week and after that more chemo.

So if y'all will please say a prayer for Joni, I'd appreciate it. She's got an 11-year old little girl who needs her momma well and with her.

Absolutely, Bonnie, both Tom & I will pray for Joanie! It's just heartbreaking that someone that young is so seriously ill.

off topic but I gotta know...: Are the Bluebonnets going to do well this year after the winter ya'll had? I worry about them you know. I miss seeing them.

And Bonnie, have you ever read the story The Legend of the Bluebonnet by Tomi DePola? I read it to my class every year. It's lovely. If you have never heard of it or read it, I encourage you to get the book. It has beautiful, simple illustrations and the meaning of the story brings me to tears whenever I read it.

I think that's required reading for all Texas schools. I know my mom read it to her class every year when she taught first grade.
