the scary thing is that there is a three month window period for an accurate HIV test. So that person would have to get tested three months after the last time they had an encounter in order to get a 100% accurate HIV reading.

Well, I think you're being way too paranoid, I work in the medical field,
I would say almost 1 in 3 has herpes we see at my work.
With my own eyes.
( not to mention I used to work at the county health department,
and saw how many people came with herpes on a weekly basis)

So no, the number is not too astronomical.
