Default A Simple Plan

This is a movie starring Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton and Bridget Fonda that is about a dozen years old. It is set in the snowy winter of rural Minnesota. Two brothers (and a friend), one an upwardly mobile new father - the other an intellectually-slow failure, find $4 million dollars in the wreckage of a small, private plane. Theorizing that the money belongs to drug dealers, the brothers decide not to report the plane wreckage, or the money, to the authorities. This choice leads to an unforeseen string of tragic circumstances with further morally wrong choices.

It almost seems like the writer wrote the screenplay as an exposition of the verse: "The love of money is the root of all evil".

A good movie. Possibly an excellent movie. If you like "Fargo" or "No Country For Old Men", you will appreciate this movie.
