Dave, I said outside of wishful thinking. Last time I checked mental strength isn't a judging requirement, GSP's opponents being underdogs hasn't helped them in the last 4yrs & NO ONE has been able to stop GSP wrestling, the ones he's underestimated (Alves, Serra, etc.) & the ones that are awesome at it (Fitch, Hughes, etc.).

I'm aware that anything can happen in a MMA match, but if he can take BJ Penn down with ease, I see literally no way that Hardy's going to "surprise" him with his Takedown D. Once on his back, whether or not Hardy taps to a sub or TKO doesn't matter: he's stuck & will lose th round. Period.

What kind of summation is that? all you did was point out potential GSP flaws, and you only highlighted Hardy 'strengths'. If you wanted to put the info out there, you should put out ALL the info. In other words, GSP strengths and weaknesses and the same for Hardy.... But in playing with your game.

1. Who is physically stronger? I say GSP

2. Who is faster? I say GSP

3. Who is the better grappler (bjj wise)? I say GSP

4. Who is the better wrestler? I say gsp, the guy has olympic level potential in my oppinion, and from what other professionals have said. And for the record, wrestling is NOT a top tier college sport in canada. so i think the point of not teaching wrestling in england is moot.

5. who mixes up his strikes and takedowns better? I say GSP

6. Who has more expereince and success with top level ( top 5) competitors (fitch, alves, penn etc)? GSP

Seriously though I do agree with GSP being mentally stronger. It is the kick backs and adversity that forces us to grow in that area and GSP has had his fair share. No way he could walk around with his head up and not have learned from those experiences.
