See my other post. BTW I met Barry Horowitz several times he was a great worker. He gave me a lot of advice and many good stories. Denny's in Texas will never be the same.

That's cool stuff Chris.
What name were you jobbing for WWF under? Did you ever do any televised matches like Superstars or Wrestling Challenge? |

Jobbers did not get cool names except for Jim Powers and Barry O. I just used my real name. I only did a house show in Fresno California. Not sure if they were televised. I was given a VHS of my appearance. I used it to procure other jobs. I wish I still had it. My gear was stolen and it was with my stuff.

most of them were already retired or passed away by the time I got into it. I did meet The Boogie Woogie man Jimmy Valiant. He was what we call a booker/agent when I got into the biz. I would have like to meet them all and here their stories. It was not till recent times wrestlers ever broke Kayfabe rules. So the guys with great stories never shared them. Even when I was in the biz we were prohibited from eating at the same food joints as the faces/heels. Yet often we'd drive together or share a hotel room to cut cost.

I dont know. They certainly all seem to be put up in the same hotel, so I'm guessing its prearranged...but I dont know how much in terms of expenses is paid for by the UFC....it would be a nightmare to keep track of who is expected to arrive, and when, especially with the events happening so regularly

That's really cool, Chris F, thanks for sharing some of your story!
But it's awful that now you're left living with the aches and pain from injuries. |
