Yeah, the Captain America book was taken over by left-wing nuts a long time ago. I quit collecting it last year when they showed Captain America attacking the owners of a gun store and telling them to find a new line of work.

I never really collected Captain America.

Yeah, it stinks because, liberal slant and all, it was still a pretty decent storyline for a while there. THey just took it too far when they decided to depict a gun store owner as a criminal.

Also there was a comment on the Marvel website that, because of the election of Barack Obama, people could start believing in heroes again and it was time to bring Captain America back from the dead.

What's really funny, though, is that the current Marvel storyline has the Green Goblin being put in charge of the Avengers. And he rose to prominence in the government through lies, concealing his past and an excellent PR campaign. Pretty much the same tactics that Obama used. I think they are trying to use Green Goblin to represent President Bush, but he's a much better representation of President Obama.
