3 1/2 years comes down to one day.... countless classes..hundereds of "owies".. bunch of split lips... brusies (an unknown amount)... one trip to the hospital... one trip to another country.. many fantastic friends.. a supportive family...all that behind me... and I am still a little bit nervous...One Black Belt Test Thank you to all my OFK family and all of my "away from dojo" friends. It was really rough... exposed a few weaknesses.. highlighted many strengths... One Black Belt down...still more than a life time of learning to do.. Thank you VERY MUCH Shiahn Ormaza, Senseis McNair, Thornburg and Briest...And ALL of the other future shodans at Ormaza Family Karate.. Shihan put the FAMILY in Family Karate!!! The warm up! One mile run.. I was able to do it at 7.2 Mph  300 Jumping jacks  300 punches  300 front kicks  5 minutes of punchs then back hands.. my knuckles are ripped to shreds  Go for the eyes  Arm break  better have a good break fall (i did !  ) Elbow Set  Gun defense  sidekicks  takedown  another takedown   bo fighting    Stick fighting   Shodan award    Sensei David Ellis and Sensei (nidan rank 2nd degree) Greg

Nope.. definitely a test. And I have seen people fail their tests before.. never pretty.
my ribs are still bruised up really well.. and mu knuckles are starting to scab over a bit... hurst to move them.
