Sinead O'Connor "Nothing Compares 2 U".

Oh man. My big time college boyfriend and I were dating when this song came out and we both loved it. He said it should be "our song", which I told him was stupid because it's not a love song...

Fast forward 2 months and we were broken up and I was devastated. Every time I heard this song....argh! (Pathetic...I was 19, that's my only excuse).

He was eventually revealed for the low-class man-skank that he is...and I know that I dodged a HUGE bullet with that guy....

....but 20 years later...when I hear the opening notes to that song...I still go breathless for a few seconds...
Ahh!! How cute..

Willie Nelson "Blue Eyes Crying In the Rain"...always makes me think of family reunions on my mom's side. She has 11 siblings plus uncles, aunts, cousins..and they're all musical. At family reunions the guitars come out and everyone sings.
Now my uncle has a karaoke business, so we also sing karaoke at reunions!

This is so funny. I don't have anyone I really think this about now but really who hasn't thought it a time or two?

I use music a lot when coming up with ideas for drawings or stories. Mostly electronic music (techno, rave, trance, electronica, whatever you want to call it) and some alternative rock.

There was an alt rock song that I really liked when I was stationed in Ft. Hood, but I could never figure out who sang it. It wasn't until I got back from Bosnia in May of 1997 that I finally discovered the name of the song and the artist. So this always reminds me of those first few weeks after getting home from Bosnia.

One of the first songs I listened to on my first night back from Bosnia:

Type O Negative - Love You To Death:

And this one:

Corrosion of Conformity - King of the Rotten:

As you can tell, my tastes in music where a little on the harder side back then.

I usually don't even get on here over the weekends but I wanted to share a song that really fits my mood.
