Atheist Group Blasts Postal Service for Mother Teresa Stamp

An atheist organization is blasting the U.S. Postal Service for its plan to honor Mother Teresa with a commemorative stamp, saying it violates postal regulations against honoring "individuals whose principal achievements are associated with religious undertakings."

I am so sick of a miniscule group of people being offended by ANY religious representation. I am not religious (although I deeply believe in God) but I have had it with religions being trampled upon. Here in our idiotic state, there was a creche at the capitol last year. The atheists put up a plaque next to it saying:
"“At this season of the Winter Solstice may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”
Isn't that lovely? At Christmas. They haven't quite managed to ban Christmas yet but they are trying their hardest. You sure aren't politically correct if you refer to it in any way.
These atheists are the most INTOLERANT people I've seen in a long time.

I try to work in the word Christmas as every opportunity in December. "Christmas Break" "Christmas Party" "Merry Christmas" "Christmas Tree" "Christmas Presents" "Christmas Spirit" - they aren't going to shut me up.

Sorry for the rant but I am just infuriated by these narrow-minded jerks who have the CHOICE to get any damned stamp they want but protest a stamp honoring a great humanitarian, Mother Theresa, because she's Catholic. It should be blaringly apparent to even these morons that a lack of a higher power in our society has not been a good thing. I doubt they would want to live in Mao's China or Stalin's Ukraine or Pol Pot's Cambodia.

This is a ridiculous to say the least, but what do you expect from libtards?

What I find funny is that the Postal Service works with outside companies to distribute customizable official US Postage. On my band's Zazzle merchandise page, we have official US Stamps for sale with our logo on it. The only thing they check for is pornography or illegal materials, not religious content.

Why aren't the tards complaining about that?

If my band can have a stamp, then Mother Teresa deserves 100.

Talk to some of the Christians on here about tolerance, or read some of the threads that are already on here. Pay particular interest to ones which mention tolerating homosexuality or homosexuals.

Are you saying Atheist groups are insulting you for complaining about government money going to abortions? That's what you are inferring here. Can you point me towards some youtube clips or other video recordings of this slander of which you speak?

I'd say Atheists and Agnostics are quite relevant myself. That's the nice thing about America, even the minority gets to be heard.

If the law exists and this falls under the category, should it not be followed? If not why? Me personally, I don't give a damn. I rarely use snail mail.
