Few people have really seen enough of him to know.

Perhaps...his record is good & he's beaten some quality opponents...but he's also lost to Forrest Petz & David Baron (twice)...neither of which have winning records in the UFC. Agreed it's difficult to gauge since he hasn't fought a top 5 guy in the division...which is why most don't feel he's earned a title shot. He's certainly better than many casual fans give him credit for, but I believe he'll be made to look very ordinary regardless.

Well being as he's English he already has a handicap...England is 1) a long way behind the United States in terms of MMA development 2) Doesnt have Wrestling in any size, shape or form on the national cirriculum. Its not taught in sports period.

Physical Education in England is not very substantial IMHO. I think in Junior School it used to be taught maybe for one afternoon a week...in Secondary School between years 7-9 it was taught for three periods a week (lets put that in perspective...Art class was two periods a week ) and once you took GCSE and A-levels you were freed from compulsory sports altogether

I used to get A for Effort...and E for attainment

is it just me or does hardy seem very 'average'

2 fights ago no one knew who he was and he hasn't exactly beaten the best fighters in the world in just 2 fights. plus his win over mike swick did not impress me at all

one thing is for sure, he knows how to market himself well

everyone knows hardy didnt really deserve the shot its just that contenders these days are very limited. hell i think paul daley is a better striker than hardy.
