I have some herniated disc. 3 I think the MRI showed. I tried 2x 3 weeks of PT, I've had pain and steroid shots, and I did the epidural. I had a lot of relief for about 6 weeks and then back with a vengence (sp?). But I can't live not knowing when I will or won't be able to get around without extreme pain. I refuse to miss out on things my kids do just because the pain pops up. At first I was dead set against surgery but I won't to control the cause of the pain - not have it control me.

I'm going to the doctor Thursday so I guess I'll see what he has to say. His PA said usually he wants to try 2 epidural treatments before surgery.

Are you at your ideal body weight? Are you doing core-strengthening exercises? Do you have an iPhone?

It IS very interesting stuff! Teachers have known all along that boys and girls ARE different! It's nice to finally have the research to back it up now!
