Default Liddell lands role in major movie

Glad he's finding other things to do and something he apparently likes a lot

Saturday, January 09, 2010

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight titleholder Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell has recently been on location in Santa Fe, New Mexico filming the feature film “Passion Play” starring 2009 Golden Globe award winner Mickey Rourke and actress Megan Fox.

The 40-year-old mixed martial artist went through several auditions beating out other actors to get the role.

Liddell’s acting career actually began in 1981 where he appeared briefly as a boy-scout in the film “The Postman Always Rings Twice” with Jack Nicholson. He’s seen roles in “The Death and Life of Bobby Z,” “300,” “Drillbit Taylor,” “How High,” “Cradle 2 the Grave” and “Bachelor Party Vegas” as well as made appearances on television in HBO’s “Entourage,” “Blade: The Series,” MTV’s “Punk’d” and been featured in several music videos.

Fox spoke with MTV about the film in Sept. saying, "I'm doing a movie called ‘Passion Play’ with Mickey Rourke. There is a love story there. It's clearly not going to be a typical one. My character is basically a circus freak. She lives in a cage and she has wings. She's not an angel, but she has these giant wings that grow out of her back. She's a freak and she's on display."

The drama/triller is written and directed by screenwriter Mitch Glazer, best known for penning the 1988 Bill Murray film “Scrooged.”

I did an internet search and found a video clip of little Chuck Liddell as a cub scout in the 1981 movie.

Chuck is gonna suck.

I hate these athlete turned actors...they are so bad.

Chuck, Shaq, the Rock, Carl Lewis...these guys can't ACT!!! They abuse their status...without their name they wouldn't be ablip in Hollywood.
