Hanging a Heavy Bag

I just odered the bag & hanger last night. They'll be here in "5-9 business days". Gotta love the ambiguity of the Amazon super saver shipping!

Since I had stuff from a side job I just built a square section in my garage ceiling so the swinging of the bag wouldnt damage anything. I then took 2 joist hangers and hung them from the rafters and put a 2x6 in the middle. I then took a chain rapped it around the 2x6 with a carabiner to hook my bag too.

It's a good thing someone posted the bracket, VCU asked a simple question about hanging a heavy bag and the first few posts were about something contradictory to what he wanted.

Just got word that the hanging bracket shipped today. Apparently they're having to wait on the heavy bag since it wighs so much, they need to make some kind of special arrangements for the Super Saver shipping. Can't wait!!

Hurrah, it's here!!!

I got home from the fights about 20min ago & my heavy bag was laying on my bed waiting for me!

Is it weird that I think it was trying to seduce me?
