forgive me this little cameo. But I remember at the end of one of the services which had the Queen in attendance, during my Tenure, that I was waiting in the woodwork of the Quire Stalls to appear as if by magic () to lead the Choir out after the service was over. We had to wait for the last bit of music to be played which was of course The National Anthem. Now, as demonstrated in the video at the 26second mark. When the Organ suddenly joins in at the end of the fanfare with that rather deep chord. (in the recording below the organ is much to late, its supposed to strike the chord the same moment the Trumpets reach the last note of their fanfare) The main pipes for that are the ones you can see stuck to the side of the Quire itself...and the whole wooden structure vibrates...it positively thunders if you happen to be standing just behind the wooden pannels behind the stalls its like a miniture earthquake
