This just goes to show its all about who can sell PPV for Dana the most and not about a person or fighter who just wins.

i may be wrong, but i think he had to give parts of the company up, so he diveed it up between his son and daughter or something ... something about wwe being a monopoly, so he had to create raw and smackdown as two separate businesses which competed ... or i could be wrong ... LOL ...

Sherdog.com: Why did you pick Strikeforce over the UFC?

Henderson: The decision was based on a number of things. It wasn’t just a financial thing. It was the fact that I felt I wasn’t getting the fight that I wanted in the UFC. That was a big part of that -- that I wasn’t and that it got yanked away from me. I think I stepped up for the UFC a number of times and had earned that right again for a title fight. And the fact that publicity-wise, CBS offers quite a bit more than a pay-per-view and Spike TV.

His worth dropped from 1.1 billion to 700 million as a result of failing businesses, I.E., the XFL.

Dana rather sign Tito who hasn't won a fight in 4 yrs then keep Hendo who was suppose to be next in line for a title shot and the biggest threat to Silva..

I think Hendo should be worth more than Tito!

Tito is the #1 most purchased MMA fighter in any given calendar month, even more than Brock.

I love Hendo but Dana makes absolute correct points on the matter.

Hendo is great but he lost both big fights that mattered and he isn't the hugest draw so business wise it makes sense.

He was getting paid well by UFC, it just hasn;t worked out which is a shame.

I wish Dana could try to lessen down the insults when parting ways with fighters.

At times, he is far to confrontational with everyone it seems!

I have mixed emotions on this one. I still think Dan would have done better in a rematch with Silva and I would have loved to see it. On the other hand I think it is great Strikeforce has added him and I hope they do really well.

people are slowly starting to realize that tito sucks now. even the mainstream peeps.

someone correct me if i'm wrong but his last event didn't blow any minds in terms of PPV buys like they use to

i bet his next one won't either.
