Default Auto-Tune the News

Found these videos on YouTube and they're hilarious! They take news reports and auto-tune them to turn them into songs. They're a little bit on the liberal side of things, but still pretty fun to watch and some of the tunes that they create are actually pretty catchy.

These are my favorites:

Auto-Tune the News #6: Michael Jackson. drugs. Palin:

Auto-Tune the News #5: lettuce regulation. American blessings:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eooXNd0heM

Auto-Tune the News #8: dragons. geese. Michael Vick. (ft. T-Pain):

Auto-Tune the News #4: spa regulation. serbians. sotomayor:

You can check out more Auto-Tuned news and some of their other videos on their channel:

Including this surprising catchy Auto-Tune of a Winston Churchill speech:

Some of the more musically inclined forum members might be able to explain exactly what Auto-Tune is better than I could.

Yeah, some of the "songs" are pretty catchy. I'd be interested to know your take on the whole Auto-Tune thing, JB, with you being a musician and all. I listened to the radio for the first time in about 10 years last week and I was amazed at just how many songs feature those synthesized metallic sounding voices.

Here's a video that explains Auto-Tune pretty well and it even features Weird Al Yankovic:

All my buddies rave about "musicians" like T-Pain & Kanye & I can't seem to get it through their heads that their nothing more than computer speakers with masks on!
