Default GSP vs ??????

Who do you think GSP should fight next. I honestly don't like the Hardy matchup. I think that would be too one sided. I would like to see Matt Brown or Matt Hughes fight him. Your thoughts please.

You think Brown would do better?
Brown was almost finished tonight, and barely pulled it out.
Hardy just beat Swick decisively.

I don't know what fight you were watching but Brown had it under control. How does Hardy get a title shot so fast. He has no chance against GSP and he definitely won't sell tickets on his end. I think Brown has won three straight and shouldn't had lost the one he did lose. He is as tough as anything in the welterweight division behind Hughes and Fitch. I don't really know about the title yet but I say let him fight somebody in the top 3. He showed poise ans toughness tonight and I would like to see him face someone like Anthony Johnson or Alves. Just to see what he is made of.

Well... for one, Hardy hasn't gotten it so fast lol, he is on a 4 fight wins treak in the UFC.
While Brown is only on a 3 fight.

So.. he is a fight ahead.
But mostly its WHO they've been beating.
While Brown has been busy beating James Wilkes, Pete Sell, and Ryan Thomas
Hardy has wins over Swick, Davis, and Gono.
Those are much bigger names than any win Brown has in the UFC.

Hardy is also on a 7 fight streak over all, Brown just 3.
Brown is 11 - 7 overall,
Hardy is 23 - 6.

The reasons go on and on.
You can argue ticket sales, but brown certainly wouldn't sell either.
Hardy will at least sell to UK fans like crazy.

Hardy deserves the title shot if only because he beat Swick. I'll give him that.

Brown, however, is starting to become on of my favorite fighters. That dude is TOUGH. Whether he barely pulled that win out or not, that took heart to get out of that kimura, man.

Hardy impressed me last night. He dominated a truly tough guy in Swick. He deserves the shot against GSP based on that, IMHO. Not that I think he stands much of a chance, but he'd do as well as anyone else beyond Fitch/Alves/Koscheck.

The winner of Koscheck-Johnson should get the next shot.

well unless he gets a lucky punch in against GSP his streak is about to come to an abrupt end and he will go tumbling to the bottom of the division and it may be a very long time before he gets another shot at the title...if ever...i think there are about four or five guys in that division right now that would kick his ass (Hardy) and none of those guys could beat GSP so i'm not sure what Dana is thinking on this one...maybe he hates Hardy and just wants him to go away....well... if thats it,then i think he just might be in luck.

Some guy named Hughes definatley comes to mind.. Matt or Mark!!!

Hardy.. I just don't see him being too much trouble for GSP.. I just don't.

GSP looks bigger and I think is stronger.. more rounded..

I think one-time matchups against anyone who'll step up are more interesting fights for GSP right now. He's had a trilogy against Matt and the double with BJ Penn. We know if he remains champion he'll have rematches against Fitch/Alves/Koscheck in all likelyhood. Might as well throw some wild cards in there & hope someone turns out to be a bad matchup for him.
