Default International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, where we pray for all of the Christians around the world who are beaten, imprisoned, tortured and killed just for being Christians. So do not forget them today.

Great post Nate.

Those videos left me speechless, especially the last one. In literature we are beginning a section on WW2 and the Holocaust. I don't mean to get this thread too much off topic, but I was sicken to learn that the company responsible for producing the arsenic gas/stuff are still operating as a company today. Who on God's green earth can support a company responsible for genocide beats me.

I also learned that Hitler was supposedly a Christian too. He was supposedly following what said in the Bible about the Jews, which I never knew contains Anti-Semetic verses. I'm normally a Psalms chick, so it's been awhile since I've ventured out and read the rest of the Bible.

Anywho, to wrap this post up I'll end it with my favorite prayer: Psalm 23:4, and may God bless those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for standing up for their Christian values.

I think Hitler had no problem hijacking Christianity when it suited his purposes, but it's nearly impossible for me to believe that he was actually a Christian.

Also, there are no Anti-Semitic verses in the Bible at all. It would be kind of hard for the Bible to be Anti-Semitic considering it was written almost exclusively by Jews (Luke is possible the only non-Jewish author in the Bible). That's like claiming the Koran is anti-Muslim.

So, any Anti-Semitism found in the Scriptures comes from improper translations or just religious/world leaders injecting their own hatred and ignorance into the book. If your college professors are telling you that the Bible is Anti-Semitic, then they simply don't know what they are talking about.

I'll have to PM you the information he was telling us that was considered Anti-Semetic. I don't want to get this thread off topic. It was probably bad interpretation on his part.

Black Mamba, perhaps start a new thread with that topic. It sounds like an important topic that should be discussed.

Matthew 5:10-12 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
