Diaz / Guida

Alright, this is entirely my opinion, but I do have some facts mixed in.

Round 1.
Clay failed TD, Nate pulled guard, then Nate completely won the striking.
Guida Slams Nate, but can never keep him down, Nate finishes the round striking.

Round 2.
Strikes, Nate sweeps, Clinch, Nate winds up on top about 230.
Back up, 130 Nate gets a sweep, 120 Nate gets 3rd sweep of the round, triangle attempt.
Nate also had 2 Kimura attempts in the 2nd.

Round 3.
Striking, 400 clinch, Diaz controlling.
Diaz dominating the striking again, clinch at 250, 155 Nate TD, back up,
clay gets a TD, they clinch and stay pretty boring, fight ends.

I just don't see where Guida won that fight, at all.
He didn't try to finish, he held on around Nate's body a lot, got some TD's.

I give it to Nate.

i wouldnt give it to nate but this definitely was not a spectacular win from guida by any means. its one thing to work for positioning and mix punches in and all that but guida literally just held on to him and stalled. it was quite disappointing. People call machida boring but at least he throws punches and goes for takedowns and does real damage. guida didnt do any damage at all that i can remember. maybe the slam.

Yeah pretty much, the slam wasn't even great.

As much as I like Guida I think his intensity is hurting him at this point. It has allowed him to get a couple wins but the problem is the rest of his skill set has not had time to catch up. His striking is way behind. If he was smart he would go to the WEC and drop to 145.

I am a huge Guida fan.. but I have to admit his face-jitsu technique is really needing some work...

But I still say Clay had that one...

Face-jitsu. That's hilarious. I really like him too and I think if he gets a little more well rounded he will be very good. By the way I love your sig.

Guida won on 2 out 3 rounds. He controled the fight and limited a dangerous Nate on subing him. Only time Clay was in trouble when Nate started landing those strong jabs.

I am amazed that anyone would think Diaz won that fight. Dumbfounded!

And all of you that would "give" it to Diaz: you'd have to! He certainly didn't take it for himself!

I do not like my sig.. Fedor is great but I was rooting for "The Pitbull"...
