Default Velasquez vs Rothwell UFC 104

On the heels of Shane Carwin being scratched from UFC 104 to challenge Brock Lesnar for the division title in November, MMAmania.com (www.mmamania.com) can confirm that former IFL and Affliction heavyweight standout Ben Rothwell has agreed to step in for “The Engineer” versus Cain Velasquez on Oct. 24.

Rothwell is coming off a dominating TKO win over Chris Guillen at Adrenaline II back in December 2008. Prior to that, “Big” was riding a career high 13-fight win streak before running into former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski in July 2008 during the inaugural Affliction event.
This will be a decent fight. UFC is doing a lot of shifting and shuffling lately. Or maybe they always do this but there is a huge press leak lately.

Honestly I think it was for the best. Cain had no shot at beating Brock.

I want Carwin to fight Brock and lose and I want Brock to fight Couture or Nog and lose.

good, I hated the idea of throwing 2 still newcomers to the UFC with that much potential at each other so early. Let Cain work his way up at least two more fights before a title shot.

I want Brock to fight Cro Cop and eat LHK and goto sleep for a long time and when he wakes up he will think this whole MMA thing was just a dream and go back to WWE.
