Default Kieth Florian makes excuses for Kenny

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2009/8/18...-keith-florian

Quote:
"In my opinion, the major factor out of everything is the layoff. Kenny had nearly nine months off before this fight and that really hurt him. There are certain things that happen to a fighter mentally when heís not fighting as often. He starts to question his technique a little bit and thatís part of it. Itís not all of it, but it had to do with some of it."

..."There are a lot of things that happened during the fight that you may or you may not have seen. Kenny got poked in the eye, which BJ is notorious for. He did it against Matt Hughes twice in one fight and once in their first fight. He did it against Georges St. Pierre in both fights. He was hitting behind the head all of the time. Kenny wonít say this, but I certainly will."

...(Next for Kenny) "Iím thinking more like a Frankie Edgar, Tyson Griffin, Gray Maynard or Clay Guida or someone along those linesÖa Diego SanchezÖwhoever is going to be in the top 5 thatís going to get us back in title contention. I donít know who else is going to give BJ the run that Kenny did."

blah, whatever.
He had 7 months off between Louzon and Thomas.
Hughes beat Penn once despite an eye poke, Why couldn't Kenny?

Just making himself sound stupid IMO

Pretty much. Kieth, there's a reason that Kenny doesn't say this stuff. Follow his lead.

QFT and war Kenny for keeping his mouth shut and trying to lead by example.

Eh, I say whatever. He is sticking up for his brother. Might not be doing it in a way that some people approve of. But still, it's understandable. Even if it does sound like excuseville.

I think you're giving Kenny too much credit, Crisco. He's letting his brother talk for him. If Kenny has something to say, he should say it, not hide behind his mouthpiece. I say he's trying to be sneaky by getting out what he wants to say through his brother 'cause he doesn't want to look like a sourpuss.

He just wasn't quite up to BJ's level that night.

how about the time when kenny illegally elbowed joe lauzon in the back of the head 10 times in a row? i don't remember keith every complaining about that one.

plus, he said BJ hit kenny in the back of the head alot. it was only once, and it only happened because kenny turned around and BJ's hand happened to land on the back of his head. nothing BJ could have done about that and BJ even apologized during the fight and shook kenny's hands to let him know it was an accident. keith is a little baby

yeah, i guess laying on bj on the cage for 3+ rounds, bj's excuse making wore off on him ... BJ is a good borderline cheater, he knows how to do it and get away with it ... BJ was winning that fight anyway ...
