Serra not retired, wants Hughes rematch

I didn't think matt dominated him at all. It was very close and could have went either way. But take away the head butt and maybe Hughes would have dominated him. For as much build up for a fight with two guys who supposedly hated each other, there was alot more to be desired in that match. The good guy won. It's funny, IMO That fight was Serras chance to prove to the fans he belongs on their radar an is still relevant, and he didn't. Can you say stepping stone?

yea, he's no threat to the WW div...as a LW I think he's formidable tho.

I honestly like him, annoying as he is, he's a funny guy and a good fighter. I'd like to see him v. Mac Danzig or better yet, Guida

Serra must be off his medication. During that fight, the ONLY time Serra had an advantage was in the beginning when he head butted Hughes and followed it up with illegal punches to the back of the head. After that brief stint, Hughes owned him and threw him around. He knows he didn't win that fight, he raised Matt's hand after the final round. He knows he couldn't even win by cheating, so why would he want a rematch where he would most likely get destroyed? Maybe he should talk to Frank Tigg about wanting a rematch with Matt Hughes.

Serra just needs to go away.

Ask yourself WHY he wants a rematch...Because it gets his name next to a "cemented" fighter.

If HE were a Cemented Fighter, he wouldnt have to cling to the coat-tails of others greater then himself.

Could you imagine Hughes saying "I want to fight only a cemented Fighter...I know...I'll rematch Serra"

Hopefully Joe Silva isnt as stupid as he looks...because if I'm not mistaken, there is no unfinished business. Hughes already beat him. That FINISHED the business

Serra pretty much admitted that he's just trying to build his name! He ain't got the big name he wants so he trying hard to get it!
