White added that the Fertittas’ gaming license would hinder co-promoting with M-1.
That is an interesting sentence.
You do not need a gaming license to hold mma events,
I don't understand???

Also, I don't know why it seems to be a huge surprise about Fedor not being interested in being the best and having the most money. He NEVER has,
he never said he was the best, he never said he wanted to be, he never said he wants a legacy, etc... He also has clearly shown that money is NOT what is most important to him. He controls his career, and is doing just fine money wise.

I think Dana's trying to point out another reason for not co-promoting that people may not realize. I'm assuming that a partnership with M-1 (a foreign corporation) would somehow violate the requirements for their gaming license. Since they'd rather make billions from their casinos than spend millions on Fedor, they're not going to co-promote.

I still do not understand.

Station Casino's went bankrupt.
So, they weren't making billions from their Casino's, they were losing enough to file for bankruptcy.

I also do not understand how a separate business venture would effect owning a casino?

Dana is making excuses with the gaming license angle. Dana asked Pride to co-promote back when he first took over and the UFC was struggling. yet Pride agreed. UFC sent their guys but Pride never did

Wouldn't that validate Dana's point? Japan doesn't care about a gaming license but the US does. Because of a license issue the UFC can send their fighters to PRIDE to get part of the Japanese fan base but they cant send their fighters here due to a gaming license.

Sounds logical to me...

no, Dana complained about how the Pride owners were corrupt. the fighters not being sent wasn't as big a deal. other US orgs co-promote with no prob. Dana is just lying.
