Power to the people! Bob Arum changes it to a title fight after the people spoke, then Pac spoke!
http://www.examiner.com/x-5699-NY-Bo...fe-on-Pacquiao http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx...bCategoryId=69 Now, we're just waiting to see what Cotto has to say. No way he's going to back out or he'll look like a coward.

A title fight should and can only be fought AT THE TITLES WEIGHT otherwise it means nothing. If Cotto says no it's not because he is scared I saw an interview of his where he said if pac fights at the belts weight he will put it on the line but not at a catch weight. I support Cotto 100% in this if he chooses to tell the commision and everyone to go **** themselves. |

Well, the fight's for the belt. This is not the first time a belt has been put on the line at a catchweight. The fact of the matter is that 141 to 147 is the welterweight class, just because it isn't fought at 147 doesn't mean it cannot be sanctioned, and in this case, IMO, shouldn't be sanctioned. If it isn't for the belt, what's the point? I know, it's because these are 2 warriors that should be fighting, but I'm not interested in hearing that.
Cotto's worried about 2 pounds...in his last fight against Clottey, he weighed 146 when he only needed to weigh 147. He will be 100% fighting at 145. Fight's so popular, you can't even get a room at MGM on that weekend and the tickets go on sale tomorrow! On another note, a person can still buy ringside at Mayweather/Marquez and it's only 1 month away.
