Well? Your prediction could not have looked less like happening had Alves beeing wearing comedy clown gloves. GSP steam rollered him and did what no one else has been able to do since the Fitch fight, take him down at will and punish him.

As I said no excuses would be needed

Thought I was watching a tackling display and that it. Georgy is going to the cards a little to often these day. Not being able to finish fights when having the fighter on the ground in bad shape. GSP style getting a little boring as well. One day it will bite him butt.

???? He finished his last fight. There is no shame in not finishing Alves when everyone agreed this was by far the hardest test for him.

When he has his fighter on his back hurt. He cant finish. BJ Penn, Fitch, Alves,Serra was on his knee's looking to stand. ect.. Thats all. Just a common thing now.

Serra the ref stopped the fight therefore that is finishing the fight. BJ asked for the Ref to stop the fight because he could not take anymore thats all but finishing. Fitch was unbelivable how much punishment he took in fairness

BJ's brother / the doc asked the ref to stop the fight. He has been to a dec 3 times in his last 6 fights so its not like he is Sherk. I do think that if he cant overpower someone then he is going to grind out a dec. I think Sherdog put it best "GSP is a complete fighter, but he's more or less a wrestler at this point, holding and controlling opponents until they break or until time expires."

He didn't finish his last fight, BJ's brother did by throwing in the towel.
It was going into the 5th. How many fights have finished in the 5th?
1. (UFC fights, that is)

It would have gone to decision had Penn's brother not tossed in the towel.
