Default Nate Quarry vs Tim Credeur

After a dominant TKO victory in April over Jason MacDonald, Nate Quarry (11-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will look to make it two in a row in a middleweight bout with Tim Credeur (12-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) set for UFC Fight Night 19.

Both fighters have received bout agreements from the UFC and are expected to finalize the paperwork at some point this week according to a recent report on MMAJunkie.com.

UFC Fight Night 19 will be held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City on Sept. 16.

The event will be broadcast live on Spike TV and already features an intriguing lightweight contest between former title contender Roger Huerta (20-2-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) and rising Ultimate Fighter alum Gray Maynard (7-0 MMA, 5-0-1 UFC).

Credeur is currently on a six-fight win streak. Three of those wins have been during his tenure in the UFC. The victories have come against via TKO against fellow Ultimate Fighter alum Cale Yarbrough and Nate Loughran. Most recently, Credeur submitted Nick Catone at UFC Fight Night 18.

Quarry has seen his share of success during his UFC run. In eight bouts, his only blemishes have been to the former middleweight champion Rich Franklin and current top middleweight contender and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ace, Demian Maia.

I hope Creadure somehow pulls off the upset! He needs to get the fight on the ground and spend some time in the weight room.

I don't see Nate as being the favorite in this fight. His wins aren't any more impressive than Tim's. I think this will be a night for Tim to move up on the ladder.

Tim's a teammate, so I guess I gotta pull for him over Nate, but I really like both these guys.
