MHF Battle of the Bands 2009 FINAL ROUND

Well, the votes are in, and it has come down to two...

LED ZEPPELIN

AND

PINK FLOYD


This was fun, and I'm sure that we can think of some formidable bands to challenge our champion later down the road.

Same deal, voting goes for about a week, or so...

Led Zeppelin.

Because, aside from The Wall, I can only think of a few scattered Pink Floyd songs that I really, really like. One Slip is my all time favorite song from PF, but there are so many songs from LZ that I love, so it's impossible for me to pick just one favorite.

I almost wanted to say Pink Zeppelin.....

This one is a bit tougher than I thought....

I am not really emotionally invested in either band, yet I respect both for their talent and original sounds. I like a handful of music from both groups, and have performed songs from both groups, so it's a real 7-10 split on this one...


So I guess... my vote goes tooooooooo........Zeppelin.

Their influence just has more pull than Floyd did in my opinion. However, if I was basing my vote on creativity, Floyd would win.

Any band that can make an album that is nothing sort of a masterpiece and yet have it sync with a masterpiece of a movie should run away with this competition.
