The sad part about this is I have a friend who owns / operates a fairly sized roofing company,
and this year he has had to lay off something more like 10 people. |

He has / will never hire anybody who isn't a citizen. I worked for him when I was in school still full time, its funny. Home owners would always be like "White roofers?" He is really old school, and gets outraged over things, like when our state (Washington) spent 14 million dollars last year translating tests into spanish and other languages for students. 14 million... |

I personally think it's fair because I didn't vote for him! In the real world that would never happen, he would be sued by everyone that was laid off and then some that weren't because they were offended.

then everybody would at least get minimum wage. That is part of the problem people have with immigrants working, they work illegally for less money. So they get hired, taking jobs, then do not pay taxes out of their wages. But their kids still go to school, and get WIC, etc.... That tax payers pay for. I am not in any way shape or form against immigration, I am very very against people working here, and not putting money back into the system through taxes. I think if you want to use our roads, schools, and other programs, you should have to be paying taxes into those systems, period. Regardless of who you are or where you're from. |
