Umm, I think they announced they are letting him out,
because he cannot be taken back to England.

So.. he is free.. but has to stay in Morocco

Nope. I think you find he's jailed in Morocco for some other crime, but they wont deport him to face trail in England for the bank heist.

Guess he'll have that to look forward to after the hard time in Morocco
