Serra thinks he should have won the decision, and keeps going on about the first round, which he only won because he delivered an ilegal heabutt and illegal blows to the back of the head.

...and the last 30 seconds of the third round with his one takedown that he felt should have got him a round where, other then that he did nothing

Everybody is saying they think Serra one the first . WRONGGGGGG . serra hit him in the back of the head after an illeagle headbutt , Matt actually took him down right after that when Matt was on the ground and half loopy , he grabbed serras leg and took him down , IT WAS A TAKE DOWN. Then Matt took him down again which is when he took his back . And if Matt had wanted to , he was just about mid throw when the buzzer went off , he could have finished that take down and the judges probabaly would have counted that also. and imo Matt dominated round 2 and the same for 3 , Serra got a little bit of luck at the end ,

I figured they gave the 1st round to Serra, but I'll have to go back and watch it, Mac, to see if maybe you are right. You know, sometimes when the fight is going on, I miss stuff, like the headbutt. I knew Matt had got hit but didn't realize he got headbutted first. When he went down, I jumped up out of my seat and was screaming at him to get up and he did! I knew he'd hear me. But, like you, my heart was in my throat for a short while. But then Matt showed us once again why he is a champion with so many defenses to his belt when he kept going and latched onto Serra. He has so much heart! I thought when he got Serra's neck he was going to RNC him, but I don't think he had a good lock on it. It did almost look like Trigg 2 when Trigg gave Matt his back and Matt pounded on him first before RNC'n him. I was hoping he'd finish Serra off in the first but the clock ran out.

I cannot believe that Serra thinks he "squeaked out" the 3rd for the "W". And, my husband said that nimbnuts Joe Rogan said "the decision could have gone to Serra". Only if those judges were either all blind or just plain crooked!

I'm gonna watch it again when my sister gets here so she can see Matt win and I'll pay special attention to that 1st round again.

I'll give Serra credit, at least he was respectful for the most part. I kept waiting for him to say "I can't believe the judges gave that d*** the decision!" or something.

Maybe he'll ask for a rematch!
