Ben Stein & RC Sproul discuss evolution

As many of you know, Ben Stein recently put out a movie titled Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, which point of which was to point out that academia no longer allows for inquiry. Also, RC Sproul is a fantastic theologian & is famous for his work in apologetics. In the following three part series, they discuss the intellectual dishonesty running rampant in today's American academic institutions.

Nice. There is so much logic, knowledge and intelligence that you have to deny in order to believe in Evolution. Most people don't realize just how closed minded Evolutionary scientists must be in order to support their theory.

It's ridiculous how little these evolutionists will allow.

One of the comments for the first video is talking about how there is no absolute truth. I always have to smile when I read that because people never stop to think of the impossibility of that statement.

"There in no absolute truth." If this statement is true, then it makes itself false because then it would be an absolute truth.

Haha, yeah, I love that. My sister was giving a speak in a college debate class & mentioned some about a fact being "true".

Her opponent started drooling & said "Ah-ha, there is no absolute truth! Your position in indefensible!"
My sister looked over in shock & said "Really?"
"Yup", replied the other girl smugly.
"It's always like that?"
"Yup", said the girl, preening.
"So that's kind of like saying that it's absolutely true, huh?".
"Yup - Oh, wait..."

I was so proud of her when she told us that story!

Just ask an athiest who denies absolute truth if they are sure if they are a man or a woman. When they answer with their sex then explain to them that they just agreed to an absolute truth, thereby showing that they indeed acknowledge that absolute truth exists.

I sort of want to read "The Closing of the American Mind".

I like how he explains what intelligent design is.

Although, ID seems to be more of a hypothesis on the origins of life,
and evolution is not. It is a theory on his life changes through mutation, natural selection and time.
Not saying I buy the whole evolution bit completely, but still.

That's what it pretends be. It's like Sproul says, ID isn't even attacking anything evolution should be concerned with. Evolutionists should jsut say "well, you're dealing with pre-Big Bang, we're dealing with post-Big Bang. Have at it." The problem is that Darwinism has become a religion and to offer any contrary viewpoint is blasphemy.

How does it pretend to be?
I've yet to read in the theory of evolution a solid belief on the beginning of life.
Just theories on how life went from one thing to another.
I feel like most of the argument comes in where, if evolution is true, then the bible would have to be wrong, (with evolution, the earth cannot be 6K years old)
most people who have an ID belief are religious.

Evolution happens in nature, we can prove that things evolve,
but did we all come from Monkeys? Doubtful.

Quick distinction to be made: are you talking about Macro- or Micro-evolution?
