Default Save video from youtube?

Is it possible to save a youtube video on my hard drive? I know how to embed a youtube video into another website, but I don't know how to save the video file to my drive. I'm actually more interested in saving a video from wcafights.com - but it seems to be set up in similar fashion to youtube videos.

Thanks.

If there is a way to save YouTube videos to your hard drive, I would love to learn how.

If you're on Firefox, go to their Main page & click the Add-Ons button on the top page. It should take you HERE. In the search bar, put in "downloadhelper" and click the top result. That should take you HERE.

Now, when I first used it, it would only save the files as .flv, so you would need to either convert the file or find a .flv player. Now they're saying that the program will convert the stuff for you.

That's because they're internet Nazis. Read what I posted above you. Should help.

I don't know about Firefox.....but there's a website: www.downloadyoutubevideos.com that you can use, just follow the directions, but then you'll have to get a way to convert the video from .flv to .avi.........there's converters out there.

Later.

Download the newest RealPlayer at www.real.com. Using Internet Explorer, it will give you the option to download virtually any video and save it as a *.flv file.

Unfortunately, they don't have that plugin for Firefox :(
