Default New song "I didn't just kiss her"

This is a new song by Jen Foster. She wrote it after hearing Katy Perry's I kissed a girl.

I figured some of you guys would get a kick out of this. I did.... It is actually pretty good.

here's what she said about the song:

Just wanted to say Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone, as well as introduce to you my new single, "I Didn't Just Kiss Her". No, I am NOT turning into a dance diva ...but I am having a good time with this song, which I consider a musical adventure for me. I recorded the song recently in LA with Rich Jacques and Rob Giles, and it felt exciting to do something so outside of the box. If you know me, you know that I have a serious side as well as a humorous, sarcastic side...and this is the latter of those. The subject of sexual preference is obviously a hot topic at this point in our culture, and Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" just cried out (at least it did to me) for a more open, in-your-face response. (Leave it to me to provide this )....

I think the reason Katy's song resonated so much is because it pushed the envelope JUST enough to be palatable to straight girls and bisexual girls...and it also made gay girls smile for a minute. It's got the controversy factor without being too offensive. I totally get it - but my personal thought was...they didn't just kiss, and if they did, they didn't just WANT to kiss. If the kiss is really that good...c'mon...

Anyway, the song is meant in good fun, and there are some who will like it and some who will not. But here's the deal with me: I write from my heart. Whether it's deep and meaningful, or whether it's written in fun, I always write what I feel compelled to write. And on a Tuesday night 2 months ago, I wrote "I Didn't Just Kiss Her" because it came to me and it made me smile. And I had a feeling it might just bring a lot of new people to my other music, too ...

Here are the lyrics:

I DIDN'T JUST KISS HER
Words & Music by Jen Foster

I didn't just kiss her
We went all the way and I liked it
What's the point in trying to hide it?
You never know 'til you've tried it

I didn't just kiss her
She put it on my tongue and I licked it
I think she wishes she could forget it
But she sure seemed to love every minute

I don't know what the problem is
Why she gotta try so hard to keep it all a secret? A secret...

I didn't just kiss her
We went all the way and she liked it
She likes to think she didn't invite it
But these scratches aren't because she to fight it

Oh, I didn't just kiss her
She whispered what she wanted to put in me
Swore that she'd respect me in the morning
But when the sun came up she left without a warning

I don't know what the problem is
Why she gotta try so hard to keep it all a secret? A secret....

She's sayin she only kissed me for the boy's attention
She's tryin' to blame it on a little too much booze
But I can testify she knew what she was doin'
It was almost like she's done it all before

She's gonna go back to her boyfriend now
Before the questions come up
She's gonna tell 'em I'm stalking her round the clock
Like I'm making the story up

Bitch...

She's sayin she only kissed me for the boy's attention
She's tryin' to blame it on a little too much booze
But I can testify she knew what she was doin'
It was almost like she's done it all before

I didn't just kiss her...
No, I didn't just kiss her...

Hmmm...it's a cool-sounding song...but those lyrics are a little too "real lesbian" for me...

Gotcha! I agree with the difference. Two attractive, feminine ladies together; that's hot! Two butchy looking he-women - no.
