Default UFN 28 Predictions/***SPOILERS***

Dad gum it, we forgot it again!!! Well, for anyone who's interested, I'll be picking the fights (on FS1) as they happen, since it's top late to do a whole-card prediction.

Starting with whatever is up next 'cause that fight finished quick!!!

I didn't forget, I had to unload a yard of bark before it starts raining!!! I'm done now! Thanks for starting the spoilers :-)

Yuri Villefort vs. Sean Spencer

Round 1:
Villefort and Spencer open orthodox with Spencer doing the early stalking. Two hard outside leg kicks land for the Brazilian. Right to the body, left hook combo lands for Spencer. Spencer eats a hard knee in a quick, one-handed clinch, but he seems no worse for wear. Spencer stuffs a single leg, but eats a leg kick for his efforts. Crisp right hand off the jab for Spencer cracks Villefort. More outside leg kicks from Villefort go unchecked by the America. Knee tap from Villefort briefly plants Spencer on the feet, but the American stands almost immediately. More hard leg kicks from Villefort to Spencer's outside lead leg.

Round 2:
Villefort opens the frame with a double and Spencer is firmly on his back, but inching his way to the wall and stands. Both fighters exhibiting signs of fatigue and not landing much of consequence as a result. Right hand sneaks through for the American. Villefort attempts a double and it goes nowhere. Villefort landing another solid leg kick. Decent right sneaks through and he's backing Villefort up. Villefort failed on a single and eats a ton of shots as he rolls through. Spencer backs him into the fence and tags him to the head and body multiple times.

Round 3:
Spencer tags Villefort with a hard right, but eats another leg kick. Spencer now with his own leg kicks, but doesn't land clean and finally Spencer checks Villefort's leg kick. Villefort whiffs on a jumping knee. Spencer ducks a right and lands a left hook. Then a right straight. Villefort fails on another double. Body kick from Spencer partially scores. Villefort in on a single, but it goes nowhere and he misses on a follow up punch. He's been winging them all round, but two semi-overhand rights score. Right straight, left hook finds the mark for Spencer and he's starting to land much more accurately.

Sean Spencer def. Yuri Villefort via split decision (30-27 Spencer, 29-28 Villefort, 29-28 Spencer)

Keith Wisniewski vs. Ivan Jorge

Round 1:
Both fighters are orthodox and Jorge opens immediately trying to score a double, but Wisniewski shows off a nice sprawl. Wisniewski briefly scores a deep underhook in the clinch before Jorge reaches for a single that fails. Jab to the body for Jorge. Jorge pressing Wisniewski into the fence again, but it goes nowhere and Jorge eats a knee to the middle. Two short knees from Wisniewski on Jorge, but the American is now fighting off the takedown against the fence.

Round 2:
Left hook finds the mark for Jorge. Now the Brazilian is in on a double which briefly scores. Wisniewski quickly stands and Jorge tries to lock in one hook standing, but it doesn't work. The referee is forced to separate them for inactivity. Now Wisniewski pressing Jorge into the fence, but he's reversed and briefly taken to the mat before standing. Jorge lands a leg kick, but Wisniewski cracks him with a right and ties him up in the clinch.

Round 3:
Wisniewski trying to take advantage of Jorge's obvious fatigue by pressuring him into the fence, but can't for now and eats a leg kick. Jorge nails Wisniewski with multiple knees to the body from the clinch. Jorge back to pressuring Wisniewski into the fence, but referee Mario Yamasaki separates them after inactivity and a perceived groin shot. Jorge picks up where he left off and he's driving knee after knee into Wisniewski's body. The rounds exactly there.

Ivan Jorge def. Keith Wisniewski via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-27)

Lucas Martins vs. Junior Hernandez

Round 1:
Both fighters open orthodox and Martins scores with an inside kick to open the bout. Martins and Hernandez began trading with each landing, but Martins is swarming with hand combinations. A right hook almost knocks Hernandez out, so Martins locks up a rear naked choke and drags the bout to the ground. Hernandez does a valiant job of hand fighting, but Martines switches enough grips to eventually score the power grip. Hernandez goes to sleep as a result and Herb Dean separates the two.

Lucas Martins def. Junior Hernandez via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:10 of round 1

Er...Tyburn *did* post a predictions thread for UFN 28. Although only he and Kevin posted their picks.

Joao Zeferino vs. Elias Silverio

Round 1:
Zeferino pressing Silverio into the fence, but so far nothing doing. Zeferino eats a knee for his efforts, but he's still pressing Silverio into the cage. Zeferino switching between doubles, singles and body locks, but referee Leon Roberts separates them. Silverio attempts a few wild strikes, none of which land and Zeferino is pressing him into the fence again. The referee separates them again after an inadvertent groin strike and now they're striking in the middle. Zeferino tries to time a takedown in the center of the cage, but can't get it and no Zeferino pulls guard. Silverio walking Zeferino around the cage with pressure, but Zeferino nearly scores a head kick flush.

Round 2:
Zeferino goes right back to where he was, pushing Silverio into the fence. The two now jockey for position while scoring small shots. And the referee separates them. Silverio scores a hammer of a right hand and follows Zeferino to the ground after a brief scramble. Silverio charging forward with strikes and pays for it with a trip body lock to the ground. Zeferino backs up out of Silverio's guard. They go back to striking.

Round 3:
Silverio fires a knee to Zeferino and follows Zeferino the mat. Zeferino recaptures guard and lands an inadvertent but illegal upkick. The bout is temporarily halted, but resumes. Silverio plants Zeferino on the mat and kicks the legs, but Zerferino returns the favor and gets on top, but Silverio gets right back on top after a trip. Zererino turtles and Silverio is punching him, but without much authority. Zeferino rolls through and they stand as Silverio backs out. Silverio ends the round having stuffed Zeferino's last takedown attempt.

Elias Silverio def. Joao Zeferino via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

Felipe Arantes vs. Kevin Souza

Round 1:
Both fighters open orthodox. Souza potshotting from the outside, but he's moving and keeping Arantes covered up. Nice jab from Souza is keeping Arantes at bay. Arantes manages to get Souza to the floor. Arantes tried to pass and does to mounted crucifix and score an Americana, but can't get it. He ends the round in mount.

Round 2:
Arantes eats a few jabs for a minute, but is in on a single and pressing Souza into the fence. It won't work and Arantes backs off. Souza is potshotting from the outside and Arantes is clearly frustrated with the sizable reach of Souza. Souza is pressing Arantes around the cage. He's not landing anything significant, but Arantes has no answer for him.

Round 3:
Arantes trying to press the action to keep Souza backing up, but the jab from Souza is still pumping. A pair of right hands from Souza back Arantes up and Soiza starting to pour on the combinations. Arantes in on a double and now a single against the fence and finally gets it with a trip. Arantes with some ok shots on top until Souza is able to stand and whizzer for balance. Arantes scores a low single and it works after hustling for it. Arantes landed some knees to the body as well as some punches.

Kevin Souza def. Felipe Arantes via split decision (29-28 Souza, 29-28 Arantes, 29-28 Souza)
