Default Strikeforce 1/30/10

Here is the whole card

Nick Diaz (20-7) vs. Marius Zaromskis (13-3)
-Cris "Cyborg" Santos (8-1) vs. Marloes Coenen (17-3)
-Robbie Lawler (16-5; #6 Middleweight)* vs. Melvin Manhoef (24-6-1)
-Herschel Walker (0-0) vs. Greg Nagy (1-1)
-Bobby Lashley (4-0) vs. Wes Sims

Preliminary Card (Non-Televised):
-Jay Hieron (18-4) vs. Joe Riggs (32-10)
-Sabah Homasi (2-0) vs. John Kelly (3-0)
-Pablo Alfonso (5-1) vs. Marcos Da Matta (7-0)
-Craig Oxley (0-2) vs. David Gomez (0-2)
-Michael Byrnes vs. David Zitnik
-Hayder Hassan vs. Ryan Keenan (3-0)

There are a few interesting fights on the card. I think that the Hieron vs Riggs fight should be on the main card but I have a feeling it will get shown because I think a few fights will end quickly.

My pics are Diaz, Cyborg (this will be the second hot fighter that this shemale has beat in a row :( ), Walker, Lashley and Riggs

I think the Lawler vs Manhoef fights comes down to hoe Robbie handles this fight. If he decideds to stand with Manhoef I think he will get TKOed if he takes it to the ground I think he wins this fight.

Shoot, I was just looking up the fight to see where it was aired and found it's only on Showtime.

Dang. Well, at least (hopefully) some nice forum member will be live blogging it??

Dang.

The difference between Robbie and the other guys that MM has KO'd is that:
1. He's not some B level fighter that the Japanese have delivered to slaughter
2. (Like Robbie said) he doesn't just move backwards when he's under pressure. He creates angles and fires back.
3. I've been watching both fighters highlights and I think Robbie hits harder. Robbie's kicks have really come along too.

My thoughts: MM has a somewhat wild swing when he gets ramped up, and Robbie has really tightened up his technique. I think Robbie wobbles him in the first which will make MM cautious. In the second Robbie will dropp him and finish him like he did Rua. Brutally

Well, I've got to give Nick his props (although if Z had made him stand up after he hurt him, who knows, it could have gone the other way.

Thanks, Ben, for the link.
