Yes he wanted this as far back as when he was a state legislator. Abe as a lawyer even defended a slave owner in court. While president he had congress propose the bill that would ship them all back to Africa but they could not find a way to fund it. Back then they did not use money they did not have like they do so often today. The South's slave owners would have been paid back the cost of the slave and then the cost to return them.

I did not see play the man's post. But yes this has always been the goal of the North even through Reconstruction. The South gets blamed for being the racist but in fact the North was far worse. It was not till the carpetbaggers started breeding in the South that we had race issues. The South was content to work side by side with them. The North made laws keeping black out of their states and away from their jobs. Most Jim Crow laws originated in the North.

As for Abe I did not mention it before because I assumed it was common knowledge. I learned that in High School history. You must of had a football coach for your high school hisotry teacher. They tend to ignore anything not in their book.

Funny you say that chris because I did. See people today think that the KKK started out hating black and in fact that's not true. I am not defending them but they started out helping southerners from having everything taken away from the carpetbaggers. Then when the racism crap started so did the kkk start becoming racist.

There is a lot about southern history that has been distorted by carpetbaggers who wrote the history books. Once they started breeding their offspring were the ones who were the rasict of the 40's then their kids just kept it going. Early South and yes even the early KKK was not like that.
