Default THE Zuffa Summit

So apparently Dana White invited all the fighters on the rosters from The Ultimate Fighting Championships and World Extreme Cagefighting, to meet with him and the owners in Las Vegas.

Apparently the Press were barred, and its been conducted without the attendance of training camps, and managers or agents.

Apparently it was a chance for the fighters and management to discuss things like fighter safety, and drug abuse in competative sports. An Estimated 50 Professional Mixed Martial Artists from both Rosters attended.

its unclear as to whether this will be an annual thing, or whether there might be a repeat Summit for those who couldnt make it

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...fighter-summit (here is where I got my information from...I DO recall Dana White saying he would do something educational for Fighters about steroids in the past)

They did this once before.

Its a great idea, I think any company should just do sitdowns with its employees.

Its noted in the new fighters only that zuffa plan to hold this seminar to educate fights on things like performance enhancing drugs, as well as management of finances and stuff.

Guess their view is that some of these guys are very young and without some help, they could very well get into trouble if they are not wise with money matters and other aspects of being in the fight game.

Sounds like a good idea for up and coming fighters, the ones just breaking the ranks at ufc
