Most of you have been fans from the very beginning. That I respect and look up to most of you for advice on fighter and enjoy these topics. I have always been a fan of fighting but it wasn't until 2000 until I became a true fan. So even if I like to argue a little bit I still respect your thoughts lol.

Well, that is a completely unfair and untrue statement.
"better" is a matter of opinion, but Pride did have a better talent pool for a while.

Them selling out had a lot to do with other things.
Being mixed up with organized crime in Japan for one.

Just like atom said, this is a false statement. The reason PRIDE went under was because they had dealings with the Yakuza. Those dealings lead to them losing their TV contract and that is what killed PRIDE. PRIDE losing its TV deal would be like PPV deciding they were no longer going to carry the UFC.

back in the day it was not a big deal because the UFC did not pay fighters what they do today. If it happened now the UFC would fold.

I agree. I wasn't trying to say that the UFC was somehow better for having gone through that. I was just making an observation. Chill, bro!

I know, i was just responding because if i didnt certain people would make the assumption that the fact that the fact that the UFC did it somehow shows they were better and that was not really the case.
