So three people missed wieht at first

The crowd at Dallas' American Airlines Center was pumped to see the 26 fighters of UFC 103 weigh in, though the proceedings did not go without a hitch.

Three competitors on the 13-fight card missed weight, chief among them Vitor Belfort, who headlines the event with Rich Franklin. With the bout agreed to at 195 pounds, Belfort first tipped the scales at 197.5, a pound and a half over the one-pound overage allowed for non-title fights. Belfort trimmed a pound after taking his fight shorts off, and was still a quarter pound over when he stripped bare.

According to a report on Sherdog.com, Belfort made 196 pounds. on his fourth attempt.

Hermes Franca, who is scheduled for a lightweight bout with Tyson Griffin, anticipated coming in heavy and made an agreement before weigh-ins to contest the bout at 159 pounds. Franca paid a portion of his purse to Griffin for the allowance.

"The Ultimate Fighter" season eight winner Efrain Escudero looked exhausted as he stepped on the scales and came in at 157 pounds, one pound over the allowance for a lightweight (155 pound) bout. He had one hour to cut the pound.

MMAWeekly.com sources later said that Escudero remained a half-pound over at 156.5 following the hour alloted to try and make the contracted weight, but UFC officials reported that Escudero made weight at 156 pounds.

OK, see when I first read "made weight on his 4th attempt", I thought the man had hit the sauna 3 times between the first weigh-in & the last, & i was gonna say "Rich should have an easy time with a dehydrated Vitor", but it turn out that tries 1-3 were just clothed, skivvies & naked. I my mind that's jsut 1, 1b & 1c, not 1, 2 & 3.
