Do you notice how the closer we get to the fight, the more Serra is giving credit to Matt's abilities. He's already building up his reasons for losing the fight. "He's a very dangerous man.", "bigger, stronger", etc.
This way, when he loses he can say something like "Matt's a great fighter and he was better than me tonight. I just don't like him as a person, even though he can clearly whip my butt any time he wants to."
I'm just glad he says he's in the best shape of his life, and been training 110% just so there are no other excuses--well, other than Matt Hughes was the better fighter.
