Me and the bible.......

Jon, that "quote", what it said, is so very true. So many times we are "physically" attracted to someone and jump right in to a relationship without truly knowing the "important" things about the other person. I had just had a conversation with my sister recently where I told her, "You, know, people really need to stop and ask themselves, 'Is this person someone I want to have children with? Someone who can help me raise them up right? Is he/she someone who BELIEVES in and LIVES through Christ?'"

Thank you for sharing with us. Sometimes it really helps to hear and see what others are doing to make us stop and question, what are we doing in our own lives to bring ourselves closer to GOD?

I would suggest that you get a study Bible if you don't have one. There are several good ones out here. Does anyone here have a specific suggestion?

This type of bible provides some guidance as you begin to study scripture.

It is really good, I remember reading that and determined that thats the sorta person i want to be.

Ah yeah, see i have my own but it is old and my girlfriend said the same thing, that it would be helpful to get one with comments.

Any reccomendations out here?
