Default This morning's feel-good story:

Two-Year-Old Cancer Patient Asks For Pizza And The Internet Obliges

Quote:
During a week in which drunk Goldman Sachs employees are dropping the N-word, where George Zimmerman goes free, where Cory Montieth dies long before his time, and a Florida restaurant owner lays off the entire staff via text, it’s nice to know that not everyone in the world is bad. For instance, the teen boy who rescued an abducted little girl, or the INTERNET, which demonstrated that the playground for bitchy little trolls and Aaron Sorkin haters can sometimes be a force for good. In fact, sometimes, too much good.

That was the case here, where Hazel Hammersley — a two-year old cancer patient diagnosed with high-risk, stage 3 neuroblastoma — and her mom decided to have some fun while killing some time and posting a sign in their hospital room asking for pizza.

That photo was posted to Reddit, and the Internet demonstrated how awesome it can be by sending so many pizzas that the family actually had to call off additional orders. From People.com:
“Hazel woke up from her nap to the smell of pizza and was so excited to chow down! Several other children and nurses came into the room, with music playing, and had themselves a wonderful Pizza Party. We have been absolutely humbled and surprised by the outpouring of love and support … and can only hope and pray that this brings awareness to Neuroblastoma and the Childhood Cancer Community.”
So many pizzas came in, in fact, that the entire 4th floor of the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles had a pizza party.

Awwwwwwww.

Good job, Internet! Faith in humanity restored.
