Some of the Albanian Royals...it must be noted that the video begins with King William of 1914. He's a Royal in his own right, a Mixture of Prussian, Belguim, and Romanian thrones. He was appointed over Albania, but didnt last the year as the Albanians became a Republic, although his House continued to exist within Albania til the late 1970s, they never rulled, infact this is the story of Albania...there are many houses which have rulled...the earliest being 1190...however what usually happens is that one of the line falls from grace, and whilst the house continues to spawn, a new house arrises after an interegnum...and so there could be many legitamate Kings of Albania as the fallen Houses continue to spawn WHILST the new house reigns.

The House prior to William began in 1444, but ended in 1479....Similarly whilst his House ceased to reign from 1914 (the same year it was established) by the late 1920s, despite still being alive, and never abdicating...King Zog...of an entirely different house was on the throne.

to make matters really difficult...Zog was still reigning when the Italians invaded during the second world war.

in 1944 effectively THREE entirely different Royal House Holds were present in Albania. William from 1914, Zog from 1920s...and then the Italian King Victor.

Sadly...in 1945 the Italians withdrew and the Throne collapsed...William died in the same year and somehow his Son wasnt accepted...and Zog who continued to reign...did not Rule....its most bizzare...so Zogs Children live today in a kinda limbo...it appears that regardless of how many houses are running, only the latest can be the actual monarch...and of course the Italian Throne crumbled by public opinion after the second world war...so the Zogs are stuck in Limbo...alive...but unable to sit on a throne now vacent as they were Eclipsed, and their eclipsers never replaced but no longer in existance

We go to Spain for King Amadeo.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NVbEzrK4ks

Actually Amadeo is of the Italian Royal Houses, but after the Spanish Revolution the powers that be decided to install him as their King, re-introducing the Monarchy to Spain.

He was ellected by The Court of Generals...which was basically a Spanish Parliament which was extremely partisan and extremely unstable. He lasted less then five years, probably because his major backers began to dissapear from the political scene, some were assasinated, some pushed out through corruption.

When The Government and the Military itself began to dissagree he basically told the whole sherbang where they could stick their throne and crown, abdicated, and went back to Italy

Here is the present King of Prussia...Now Prussia used to be the seat of Germanic power during the late 1800s. Kaiser Wilhelm II was one of Queen Victorias Grandchildren on the Maternal side, which of course made for a terrible family relationship during the Great War

Under Wilhelm served the German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck. The two did not get along, and whilst Wilhelm was brash and immature, Otto was manipulative and calculating. Infact the Monarchy and the Chancellory had never gotten on. The problem was largely that the Kaiser position in relation to the Chancellory was supposed to be what the British Monarch is to the British Prime Minister. Added to this was the sence that neither aggreed politically, and both men wanted some form of supreme power at the others expense.

Otto favoured Rightwing, Wilhelm favoured socialism...and when Otto gained majority in the German Parliament the relationship reached confrontational proportions. The two played an outstanding twenty year battle of workplace politics within politics itself until the Kaiser won....but victory was short lived when Wilhelm backed the wrong side of the Great War. He was a close friend of Franz Ferdinand whose assasination started the war ball rolling. Germany became hated for what the Kaiser had done, and slowly but surely the Military support for Wilhelm dissapated. The British Throne was so horrified by that wing of the family, that they changed their surname by deedpole. The Americans were so angry that they basically told Germany that whilst Wilhelm was Kaiser they would not be inviting Germany to the peace talks after the war.

So Wilhelm abdicated and the Monarchy in Germany evaporated. Wilhelm blamed the Jews entirely for his downfall. With his temper and immaturity he suggested a great many ways of dealing with them. Yet he was horrified when Adolf Hitler burst onto the scene and began to litterally do what had been suggested. The feeling was mutual, Hitler might have been doing what Wilhelm suggested, but from the Chancellors point of view the Kaiser was responsible for the problems that Hitler was now trying to reverse with his march across europe.

Kaiser Wilhelm died before the outcome of the second world war in a time where it looked like Hitler might just eclipse everything the German Empire had once been.

Three or four Generations on from Wilhelm, Prince George of Prussia still exists as one of many lines long since without a throne.

The Grand Duke of Luxemburg, is part of the Rulling Elite of the Kingdom of The Netherlands.

Its relatively complicated to explain, what you have to remember, is that almost all Royalty in Europe is related to each other. The German House of Nassau is generally considered as the family that now resides over Luxemburg.

Luxemburg grew out of the collapse of the French who retreated from Prussia...at this point in time, there wasnt a unified Europe in the countries we know today, especially not around the North East...these little areas were owned by various members of the same family who had followed different lines. When Napoleonic voids swept across their lands they began a kind of Family reunion, and each redefined who owned what and which constitution belonged to who. Thats the first time Luxemburg became its own little state. The Monarch was not a King, but a line of Dukes from the King of Netherlands family. Yet despite not being a King, he has complete autonomy outside of this aggreed union of progression regarding his Throne. Head of State, but not to be addressed as His Majesty.

Recently, the current Grand Duke got in trouble for refusing to allow euthanasia in his country and His Government basically Constitutionally wrote him out of being required to sign stuff into law

People sometimes argue that even this line is corrupt...because once the Grand Dukes of Luxemburgs lineage began, a Member of the line Called William only had Daughters...according to the law, the succession had to pass through all Males. The closest Male Relative was the result of a Union between Royalty and commoner...this quickly became as bad as being an Illegitamate Union in Europe...many familes have claims to Thrones removed because the marriages involved people in lowly status. They put a Woman on the throne instead of the closest male relative...thus excluding that mans family line...which, according to their rules should have been appointed Grand Duke.

Illegitmate Lines are not to be followed...but I think its dangerous to say that LEGITAMATE marriages between people of different classes produce illegitamate offspring in terms of lineage. Whilst its easy to say the British do not have this problem because Women are allowed to Rule in the absence of a direct male heir...lets not forget that The Glorious Revolution bypassed nearly 100 heirs to the British Throne on account that the new rule, Monarchs cant be Roman Catholics, had just appeared

We go back to the Roman Empire now, and to the Wife of Augustus.

Augustus was an increadible man, adopted into the family of Julius Caesar. Julius was murdered by Senators and so Augustus had to restore order, and set up Three distinct areas of the Roman Republic, and put a different Military dictatorship in each one. Unfortunately the Military men fell out and Augustus then had to undergo civil war between these three areas until he prevailed, and re-united the Empire and Ruled as a Military Dictatorship with himself as the man in charge. Day to day running seemed to pass more and more over time to the Senate once more.

The Roman Empire came into a time of great peace and concord under his dictatorship....a peace which extended down a line of Emporars for two centuries until the Senate was large enough to once again demand control. You tend to find this flip-flop between Dictator and Democracy...Each one begins soundly, then becomes corrupt and so it replaced by the other, which then does the same. The easiest way to know which ethos the Romans were under at any one time is to ask what the Nation was called...Roman Empire equates to a Dictator, Roman Republic equates to the Senate with/without an Emporar.

Augusta had three wives, not all at the same time, and Livia was the third and final. She was married to him the longest, and became his Widow. It is thus not suprising that it was from her that the next rullers of Rome eminated. But Augusta was NOT her first Husband. What is even more interesting is that her First Husband was called Tiberius Claudius Nero. Her Rulling Son was called Tiberius, and her Grandchild was called...Claudius...and skip a third Generation, and the name of the Forth was Nero

Tiberius Claudius Nero was an arranged marriage, and he was a bad man..he was one of those in league with the senate that killed Augustus adopted Father They were exhiled to greece, the entire family, until Augustus forgave them. The absolute irony is that the Child Tiberius was from Tiberius Claudius Nero...the next Emporar, would be the son of the guy in league with the killing of Julius, and raised by his adopted son.

Augustus devorced his second Wife, to marry Livia...his second Wife was already carrying his Child...but that didnt matter to Augustus. There is some feelings that these other children, both natural born, and adoptive, were murdered so that Livias first Child Tiberius could be the successor.

The Senate renounced their coorperation to Augustus once he died, as was traditional, but Augustus had already planned for this by changing Livias surname to Julian. Tiberius was not happy because he felt like he was constantly living in the shade of his Mother. She had been granted a psedo Emporarship, and yet he was Emporar and the two didnt agree on anything. He actually left Rome to her because he couldnt cope and didnt return until she died of natural causes. She had essentially been both his Mother and his Wife politically, and had been far louder and assertive then he.

Livia never had a biological son with Augustus. They tried, but it ended up as a misscarriage.. Tiberius never married, but had a few flings and a few children, in the end, the line moved to the Son of the child born to the Woman that Augustus crudely devorced whilst pregnant, rather then any of Tiberius offspring.

I think its difficult to say who this is My first instinct is to say its George V and Mary....But Mary doesnt look quite right...I'm wondering if it could infact be Edward and Alexandra...I say that also, because they look like they are visiting somewhere...that could be India...now they are a bit dressed up to be their, and sitting on thrones....during Edwards Reign, he was also Emporar of India you see...Now under George the commonwealth began its early formations under his reign, so I'm not sure whether he stayed as Emporar, or whether he gave up that title...or at the very least, if that title became diminshed enough, that such pagentry wouldnt happen...although, it is true that he traveled to india after his coronation to present himself to his indian subjects...and if this is George, then I would say that is when this photograph was taken.
