Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas

Round 1:
Big John McCarthy is the referee. Koch opens southpaw with Lamas orthodox. Lamas threatening with feinted kicks, but throws nothing. Koch doing the stalking but still nothing of significance lands. Lamas shoots in on a double against the fence, switches to a single, runs the pipe and gets it for a moment. Koch stands immediately. Lamas back in on a double against the fence. Lamas again switches to a single, but lets it go. Lamas trying to get behind Koch to score a body lock takedown, but can't get it. They break after exchanging an elbow and a punch. Lamas goes again for the single and finally gets it, but for only a moment.

Round 2:
Left hand by Kock to start the round. Two hard outside leg kicks from Lamas and Koch responds with an inside kick of his own. Koch presses Lamas into the cage, but disengages. One-two combo from Koch finds the mark. Double leg takedown from a slip puts Lamas on top of Koch and working from his guard. Decent ground and pound from Lamas on top with both body shots and elbows to the head. Lamas nails Koch with a hard elbow and a left hand leaving the Duke Roufus product hurt. A few more shots and Koch doesn't know where he is as John McCarthy stops the fight. Brutal finish.

Anthony Pettis vs. Donald Cerrone

Round 1:
They do not touch gloves. Both fighters open orthodox and clips Cerrone with a right hand. Three-punch combo from Pettis lands, but he responds with a knee. Left hand also finding the mark for Pettis. Pettis standing southpaw now. Hard middle kick from Pettis finds the mark and now a knee. Another middle kick to the liver folds Cerrone in half and that's it. The referee stopped it as Cerrone writhes in agony on the floor.

Rampage Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira

Round 1:
Herb Dean is the referee. Both fighters open orthodox. Single leg takedown and Glover has Rampage's back already. Glover lets go and Rampage stands back up. Slow head kick lands for Glover, but there wasn't much steam on it. Both fighters trading hooks and whiffing on big punches. Outside leg kick from Glover. Rampage chases a takedown and is stuffed easily and eats a huge punch for his efforts. Another left hook hurts Rampage. Teixeira DROPS Rampage with a punch and he's reeling, but Teixeira isn't getting overly aggressive.

Round 2:
Single leg takedown turns into a double leg takedown for Teixeira. He's on top in Rampage's guard. Teixeira trying to pass and almost has it, but in a scramble Rampage stands. Hard uppercuts from Rampage in the dirty boxing position and Teixeira lands a left hook. Rampage throws a wild body and it mostly lands, but he's breathing hard and backing up. Rampage eats a hard uppercut. Middle kick somewhat lands for Teixeira and his head kick attempt is blocked. Two hard body shots from Teixeira. The two trade more punches before the end of the round, Glover getting the best of them.

Round 3:
Teixeira fires a left hand and it lands, but Rampage is swinging. Rampage lands a kick to the body, but Glover cracks him with a right hand. Double leg takedown for Teixeira. Some ground and pound from Teixeira, but nothing significant lands. Rampage is trying to stand and does, but eats a few hard shots for his efforts. Rampage looking for a single, but abandons it quickly. Left hook from Teixeira hurts Rampage and a follow up head kick lands partly. Rampage looks depleted. Easy single leg takedown, but Rampage gets up. Against the fence a body shot and knee land for Teixeira. Rampage lands a left hook, but misses two other punches in the combination. Two more right hands for Teixeira. Another single leg land for Teixeira and the Brazilian moves into the mount. Fight ends there.

Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson

Round 1:
John McCarthy is the referee. Dodson opens southpaw with Johnson orthodox. Johnson and Dodson exchange leg kicks as the champion does the stalking. Left hook temporarily stuns Johnson, but he recovers quickly. Good counter left hook from Johnson lands. The two briefly clinch and exchange knees. Middle kick from Dodson finds the mark. Hard left hook now for Johnson, but the champ is still stalking. Johnson looks like locks up a double but Dodson won't stop fighting it off. They stand, but Dodson eats a right hook for his efforts. Close round.

Round 2:
Johnson pressuring, but eats a left hand and another early. They clinch along the fence and Johnson fires off several knees to the body. Johnson changes levels for a takedown and tries, but Dodson fights it off. Dodson drops Johnson with a hand two-punch combo, but the champion recovers. Johnson gets dropped again and this time the champion looks badly hurt. Johnson is back pressuring, but eats another left hook. Johnson hunts for a double and is easily shrugged off. Good right hand from Johnson as he chases. Dodson catches a kick and fires off a left hand. Johnson tries to clinch and eats a knee to the body.

Round 3:
Flying switch kick from Dodson is blocked. Left hook from Dodson finds the mark again. Hard knee from Dodson greets Johnson on a level change. An inadvertent groin shot from Johnson to Dodson briefly halts the action, but they're fighting again. Dodson attempts a flying knee, but misses. Hard left from Dodson also finds the mark. Two-punch combination from Johnson finds the mark as he rushes in. Hard kick to the body from Dodson lands. Pulling takedown from Johnson works and Dodson is flat on his back. Dodson stands, but Johnson is attempting another takedown as he presses him into the fence. Dodson clinch breaks and drives another knee to Johnson's body.

Round 4:
Two hard outside leg kicks from Dodson to start the frame. Johnson level changes again and eats a knee, but briefly gets a takedown. Dodson eats an illegal knee and the fight in temporarily halted. The fight resumes. Good stinging left straight from Dodson and a body shot follows. Johnson grabs a leg and is pressing Dodson into the fence. Dodson fires a knee up the gut and they separate. Good left hand for the challenger again. Left hook now from the champion. Johnson grabs a single, presses Dodson into the fence. Johnson breaks and cracks Dodson with a knee to the face. And a few more. And several more as Dodson begins to bleed. They break and Johnson cracks him with an elbow.

Round 5:
They clinch again and Johnson lands a knee, which then leads to a level change, which then leads to a takedown. Dodson stands and is now pressing Johnson into the fence. They break and Johnson almost runs down Dodson across the cage. They clinch briefly and then separate. Body shot lands from Dodson. Dodson puts his hands together and gets Johnson down ever so briefly before the champion stands again. They clinch again and Johnson is hanging all over him. A crushing knee hurts Dodson and he's hanging out blocking shots with his hands. Johnson clinches again and he's hammering Dodson with knees to the body and face. Over and over Johnson is landing on Dodson with knees from the clinch.

Mighty Mouse!!! I was a little concerned at the beginning, after the first two rounds, but he really began to dominate the longer the fight went on especially in the last two rounds while Dodson seemed to lose steam.

I'm glad Big John did not take a point away for what they're calling an illegal knee to the head; I don't think Demetrious was aware/knew Dodson had put his had on the ground when he kneed him.

The smaller guys never disappoint, always exciting to watch!

I thought at the beginning this fight could be either of theirs if one of them got THE shot, but Rampage seemed to deflate before the 2nd round was over. He looked like he was in great physical shape, but I wonder about his mental toughness.

wonder who teaches that move? i've never been in a fight in my entire life but if i am, that's what i'm gonna throw
