When sung with proper pronunciation and diction, Latin is one of the best languages to hear. There are not many that raise my eyebrow, and all of late have been female cantors...I finally found a Male Cantor...and he's singing a Bible Reading...which is most odd to begin with. He's singing, in Latin, a scriptural account of the Epiphany...and its really beautiful to hear...you start to understand when you listen to it, how those people in Europe who could not read or write their own national language, would be in awe of such a performance...and its largely based on this sort of inspiration, that the Roman Catholic Church was the force BEHIND the entire Monarchic Dynasties in Europe for the best part of half a Millenia.
