Exactly. You've gone through a lot these last several months, give yourself a little time to regroup. You're a survivor, James.

My Psychologist... she said the exact same thing to me yesterday. I have been trying to do that very thing.. coping with it is a little harder than I thought it would be. Just knowing that I'm not in the position to help these people that need the help.. it's hurting.

You all are always uplifting, daily. The replies here have helped a lot. I thank you, and all, for all the support and advice. It's amazing to be treated with the respect that I have had from everyone here.

Just as an update:

I completed my second neuro-psych exam this past Tuesday. I'll get the results on the 16th. The Dr. did at least let me know that he looked over some of the results from the first few hours, and there is a noticeable improvement. The testing took a total of 10 hours.

Wow 10 hours is a long time of testing! Glad to know that there is still ongoing improvement. Keep us posted

Well, today was a good day, and a bad day.

The Dr. said that he was shocked out how well my results were. There are dramatic improvements in several areas regarding my frontal lobe damaged. He said he was not expecting this kind of improvement.

Several aspects were rated at a 2nd percentile compared to others of the same age and education, without the injury I have. Now, that is up to 55th percentile. Another was listed as 5th percentile, and now at 77th percentile!!

That was the good part. The bad part was that he all but said it out right that there is permanent damage that keeps me from retaining certain types of memory.

I'll get the full report in a few days, or next week on Monday.

I'm so glad you had that much improvement! That's amazing. And if the doc was shocked at how much improvement you had, then maybe it means that your memory won't be as affected as he suspects. Thanks for updating. We may be scattered and not post as much as we all used to but we still care about each other.
