New Rules regarding Siggie Contests

As from this moment onwards, the Siggie Contests are over. I shall still do predictions threads...and the winners will still get their names in the thread of fame...but there will be no siggies.

I am not prepared to invest the time, my tether ran out through criticism by spiritwalker. I am frankly sick of being the only person to put any effort into this place and not even getting a bloody thank-you for it.

Collectively some of you have managed to alienate Flo so she doesnt want to do it anymore either.

IF one of you wants to work with me and produce these Siggies then let me know. Otherwise you can forget Siggies.

I'd just assume it's fine for people who "win" to make their own sig images. No need to get rid of the contest. If you're going to have the predictions, and still announce or list a winner, then a sig is just a sig. Doesn't matter who makes it at this point.

Thats True...but that paves the way for those who dissagree with my verdict in the event of a tie-break, to create their own siggies proclaiming they are winners...you know...like dear BJ Penn that time when he brought his ancient UFC Gold to a return fight claiming he was the true Champion coz he never lost it (I can dream that people will get that het up about this predictions contest )

So...Yes...the winner, as proclaimed by me is free to announce the result in their siggies

Yeah, anyone can actually put up a sig regardless of if they even participated in the thread. It'll make sense just to report/PM about anyone going beyond the proper sig, etc.

For the record I second that Dave. Despite my absence from the forums I still return often to read your posts and find them to be edcational at the least (albeit, long winded ).

As for Flo - I greatly appreciate her efforts in the realm of siggie construction as well and am sad to see it ending.

On another note, I suggest only having prediction threads for either:

1) Actual pay-per-view events
2) 'Free' nights if there's a title on the line
3) Anything with Matt Hughes in it

In reality, since the Fox deal there's way too many cards, and you end up with only 2 or 3 people giving predictions sometimes, which waters things down, in my opinion. I think there would be a lot more participation per thread if there were fewer of them & thus became more meaningful.

Excellent idea. I would say just for the title and Matt fights even would be enough
