Default UFC 149 *SPOILERS*

Here we go, peeps!!

Mitch Clarke vs. Anton Kuivanen

Round 1:
Josh Rosenthal is the referee. Both fighters come out orthodox. Clarke reaches for a single and runs Kuivanen into the fence. A modified ankle pick sends Kuivanen to a knee, but not all the way down. Now he's planted on the ground. Kuivanded stands, but is thrown to the mat with a body lock takedown. Clarke attempts a submission from top position, but is reversed. Clarke attempts an armbar from the guard, but it goes nowhere. He attempts another and nearly gets it, but Kuivanen escapes only to get his back taken in the process. Clarke attempts an arm triangle as Kuivanen rolls, but can't get it. Clarke ends the round in Kuivanen's guard.

Round 2:
Clarke again reaches for a single in the first minute of the first round and gets it. Clarke rolls through with a near kimura, but Kuivanen has control from the top in half guard. Clarke goes base down and tries to stand, but has to resort to a modified Iranian Lift to turn the corner. Yet, Kuivanen gives Clarke a dose of his own medicine and granby rolls on top after kimura gripping Clarke's arm. Kuivanen on top, but eats an upkick as he attempts a heel hook. The round ends in 50/50 guard with the two firing punches.

Round 3:
Clarke attempts a high crotch takedown along the fence, but is reversed and Kuivanen working top control, although without a significant degree of damage. After a brief scramble, Kuivanen and Clarke separate only for Clarke to desperately attempt a low single. Kuivanen rolls through, however, and ends up on top. Clarke is lazily attempts a kneebar, but Kuivanen is escaping with ease and lands a monster knee before the final bell sounds.

The judges score this bout 29-28 Kuivanen, 29-28 Clarke, and 29-28 Kuivanen. Kuivanen wins by split decision.
